Scott Harris

I spent 37 years at Bell Textron (formerly Bell Helicopter) in various parts of the business. I spent my last 9 years at Bell implementing a Design & Manufacturing Safety Management System. Under my leadership, Bell became the first Airframe OEM in the US to gain D&M SMS acceptance from the FAA and the first OEM in Canada to gain D&M SMS acceptance from TCCA. Bell also became the first OEM to gain acceptance of a Corporate SMS that encompassed design, certification, production, continued operational safety and maintenance operations. 

I am a respected member of the International SMS community, having participated in the development of NAS9927 and SM-0001.
